Do we need real devices or are emulators enough?

Emulators are fine for most functional coverage and much cheaper to run. Real devices matter for performance, camera, biometrics, and push notifications. Most teams end up with a mix, weighted toward emulators in CI.

Can one suite really cover both iOS and Android?

Largely, yes — Appium lets you share test logic across platforms with platform-specific locators. Some flows genuinely differ per platform and are better written separately; we will not force shared code where it hurts clarity.

Does this work with React Native or Flutter apps?

Yes. Both expose accessibility identifiers Appium can target. Setting those up properly in the app is part of the work, and we will flag where the app needs changes to be testable.
